Insulated Concrete Forms (I.C.F)

When building a new home or office the amount of decisions to be made can seem overwhelming. Let us make an easy one for you when you choose to begin your project with an I.C.F. (Insulated Concrete Forms).

There are many reasons why I.C.Fs are the best choice.  But, first you might be asking what exactly is an I.C.F? An I.C.F is a hollow, light-weight, made to stay in place form that is created using two Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) panels connected by polypropylene webs. They are then stacked and filled with concrete that results in durable, sustainable, and stable walls.

The I.C.F provides structure, insulation, a vapor barrier, sound barrier and attachments that make adding drywall and exterior siding a cinch! And that is just the beginning! The I.C.F wall is known to last over four times longer than the normal constructed walls. Also, there are no limits to the I.C.F walls and they can be used for residential or commercial properties of any size or shape.

The product is another “green” option for homeowners and they can drastically reduce energy costs because no additional insulation is needed inside or outside of the wall. These structures use 30%-50% less energy to heat and cool when used with other energy saving products. You might be thinking that this all sounds good, but what about when I go to actually build the interior of my home? Will I need to frame the inside before I can put sheetrock up? The answer is no. No additional interior framing is necessary. The sheetrock can be screwed right into the I.C.F saving time and money.

On top of the energy efficiency, the I.C.F is also wind, fire, insect and rodent resistant. Clearly an I.C.F is the perfect way to start a new building project. It’s benefits will last lifetimes. Norweco Singular Green System

There are many benefits to the Norweco Singular GreenSystem. The leach field life is prolonged because of the aerobic environment inside the tank! Join Forces for Irene Relief   

Jay, NY  -  Fuller Excavating joins forces with Ward Lumber to match donations for Irene relief efforts in the Towns of Jay and 

Keene. 

Ward Lumber has been challenging donors to make a tax deductible gift for Irene Relief with a match pledge up to a total of 

$5,000. Fuller Excavating has generously offered a $5,000 match challenge also, in affect doubling the match. Ward Lumber 

and Fuller Excavating have also challenged their employees and will double their donations. 

Here are examples of the new joint match challenge: a $100 donation by customers and friends will be matched by both 

Ward Lumber and Fuller Excavating for a total of $300! An employee donation of $100 will be doubled by both Ward Lumber 

and Fuller Excavating at $200 more each, making that donation grow to $500!  Any size donation is appreciated and will now 

go even farther with Fuller’s added matching challenge.  

The goal of the match challenge by Ward and Fuller is to raise an added $15,000 in combined donations and matching funds 

through the gifts of customers, friends, employees and venders. That's enough to make a small difference to people in 

desperate circumstances.  

The Jay Flood Relief Fund and the Keene Flood Recovery Fund have been established at the Adirondack Community Trust 

to receive tax deductible gifts to support the hamlets of Au Sable Forks, Jay and Upper Jay, Keene and Keene Valley. A 

committee of local volunteers, who have a deep understanding of the town and its residents, will evaluate applications for 

assistance and determine how grants will be allocated.
